An advocate for peaceful resolutions
Practicing family law since 1988, Donna M. Encinas is an active member of the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley legal community. Her passion and primary focus is on resolving family issues in a respectful, peaceful environment instead of a tense or adversarial arena.
She has represented clients in all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, and post-judgment, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, property division, and estate planning. An ambassador for collaborative divorce and an experienced mediator, Donna helps clients resolve their issues with integrity and respect through an open, holistic, cooperative process. She advocates for constructive, rather than destructive, interactions, and is dedicated to easing difficult and confusing moments in her clients’ lives.
Donna has been a volunteer mediator and Judge Pro Tem with the Los Angeles Superior Courts for the past 20 years, and is an Adjunct Professor at Southwestern Law School teaching Family Law Procedure and Practice. She is a founding member of Family Divorce Solutions of San Fernando Valley (formerly San Fernando Valley Collaborative Professionals).
